Unsecured Loans

Most people, when they hear the term unsecured loans, think of danger, risk, a rogue loan that will attack every system in their body and leave their writhing in agony on the bathroom floor ( well, maybe not most people). It turns out, unsecured loans is simply what the financial industry calls and service where you don't put up any collateral, there is nothing but your word and a contract that you will repay the money.

So, what qualifies as unsecured loans?
Every time you use a credit card you are taking out unsecured loans. School loans are unsecured, and so is basically any loan where you don;t actually buy a physical thing. In theory, unsecured loans can be used for any purpose, for any reason at all, but as in the case with school loans some will be so specifically designed for a certain expense that they will carry their own rules, their own list of symptoms. But in effect all unsecured loans stem from a single generic source - banks - and they all attack a single specific issue - debt.

Banks and debt. Banks and debt.
Banks and other financial institutions love it when you fall into debt. It means they get to provide you with unsecured loans where they can charge larger rates than they charged for secured finance. Some unsecured loans are indeed regulated by governmental practice and will carry limits on the rates, but others are simply market value, supply and demand, what we are willing to pay for them. So, how much are you willing to pay for a cure to your financial sickness? Sure unsecured loans might carry their side effects, but so do all pharmaceuticals! You are sick, in debt, and these banks offer a quick way out of it - or you can sit and stay sick longer and let nature take its course.
